Robert Klein was born on the 8th February 1942, in The Bronx, New York City, USA, and is a Primetime Emmy Award and Tony Award-nominated actor, stand-up comedian and singer, probably best known for his roles in such movies as “Two Weeks Notice” (2002), “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” (2003), and “Reign Over Me” (2007). Klein’s career started in 1965.
Have you ever wondered how rich Robert Klein is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Klein’s net worth is as high as $10 million, an amount earned largely through his successful acting career. In addition to playing in both film and television, Klein has also worked in theatre and as a stand-up comedian, which have improved his wealth too.
Robert Klein Net Worth $10 Million
Robert Klein was a son of Benjamin and Frieda Klein, and grew up in a Jewish family in New York City. He went to the DeWitt Clinton High School, and although planning to study medicine, he changed his mind after graduating with a Bachelor degree in History and Political Science from Alfred University. Klein decided to pursue an acting career and joined the Yale Drama School, then in 1965 he became a new cast member of The Second City.
After spending a few years in theatre, Robert debuted on-screen in Hal Ashby’s Oscar Award-nominated movie “The Landlord” (1970) starring Beau Bridges, Lee Grant, and Diana Sands. He continued with the Golden Globe Award-nominated “The Owl and the Pussycat” (1970) alongside Barbra Streisand and George Segal, while he also appeared in three movies starring Alain Delon, “The Gypsy” (1975), “Boomerang” (1976), and “Le gang” (1977). In 1978, Klein played in Hal Needham’s Oscar Award-nominated “Hooper” with Burt Reynolds, Jan-Michael Vincent, and Sally Field, but then didn’t have any notable roles during the ‘80s.
In 1990, Robert had a role in “Tales from the Darkside: The Movie”, and then in 25 episodes of the Golden Globe Award-nominated series “Sisters” (1993-1996). In the mid-‘90s, Klein appeared in “Radioland Murders” (1994) and “Mixed Nuts” (1994) starring Steve Martin, while in 1996, he played alongside George Clooney and Michelle Pfeiffer in the Oscar Award-nominated “One Fine Day”. He ended the decade in the Oscar Award-nominated “Primary Colors” (1998) starring John Travolta, Emma Thompson, and Kathy Bates.
Regarding his personal life, Robert Klein was married to opera singer Brenda Boozer from 1973 to 1989 and has a child with her. After the divorce, Klein was in a relationship with the fashion model Debbie Dickinson for a number of years, but is believed to be unattached now.
