In addition, the actor participated in other films such as the sports drama film “He Got Game” (1998) and the crime thriller film “Summer of Sam” (1999) which were also directed, written and produced by Spike Lee.

In addition to the above mentioned performances, Smith worked on independent films including “King of New York” (1990) by Abel Ferrara, “Deep Cover” (1992) by Bill Duke and “Final Destination” (2000) by James Wong. He was in the main cast alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Lynn Whitfield and Debbi Morgan in the drama film “Eve’s Bayou” in 1997, and starred with Ice Cube in the Kevin Bray film “All About the Benjamins” (2002). The actor was seen in the biographical crime film “American Gansgster” (2007) directed by Ridley Scott, which grossed $266.5 million at the box office as well as collecting a number of awards. Recently, he appeared in the drama film “The Birth of a Nation” (2016) by Nate Parker.

Moreover, the actor starred in the television series “K-Street” (2003), and has participated in several television films and been dubbed Bao-Dur, a character seen in the Star Wars video game: “Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords”.

  1. None of these outrageous salaries are deserved. I would propose all multi millionaires in show biz, sports and other occupations be tapped for 10% or $1million and paid towards the national debt, just for the privilege they’ve been given for living and working in America…I think that’s the least they could do. Each actor makes 1 movie and become instant millionaires, look at the sports figures!! The CEO’s of companies…..all these people probably wouldn’t have made it in any other country in the world….so the land of “opportunities” provides them the riches….now give back to the national debt.
