Sarah Millican was born on 29 May 1975, in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, England to Valerie and Philip D. King, and is best known as a comedian and television personality, but also as the author who wrote the book entitled ‘‘How to be Champion’’.
So just how rich is Sarah Millican as of early 2018? According to authoritative sources, this comedian has a net worth of over $3.3 million, with her wealth being accumulated from her 13 years-long career in the previously mentioned fields. A portion of her money comes from the sales of her DVDs, in which she performed standup comedy.
Sarah Millican Net Worth $3.3 Million
Speaking about her education, Sarah was a student of Mortimer Comprehensive School and Mortimer Community College, then began working as a civil servant at a job centre, and worked in that position until the age of 29. In 2005, she made her debut in the world of entertainment, with the show ‘‘Sarah Millican’s Not Nice’’ at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, in which she talked about her divorce; her performance was rewarded with the if.comedy award. In 2009, she began working on her second Edinburgh show, and once again her efforts were recognized and she got a generally positive response from critics and the audience. Her third show, entitled ‘‘Chatterbox’’ was hosted in 2010 by the Stand Comedy Club, and was ultimately nominated for the main Edinburgh Comedy Award, however, she lost out to Russell Kane. The same year she made an appearance in an episode of ‘‘Mock the Week’’, and an episode of ‘‘Argumental’’, and later that year joined the cast of ‘‘Would I Lie to You’’ and continued appearing in it briefly over the course of the next three years. As of 2011, the audience could see her in ‘‘The Graham Norton Show’’ and in ‘‘QI’’, a critically acclaimed comedy game show, in which she collaborated with Alan Davies and Stephen Fry. Ultimately, she continued appearing in the mentioned series throughout the following years, making her last appearance in late February 2018.
Additionally, Millican has released several DVDs which feature her standup comedy, most importantly, in November 2011 she made ‘‘Chatterbox Live’’, and in the following year ‘‘Thoroughly Modern Millican Live’’, then in 2014 ‘‘Home Bird’’. Overall, Millican’s hard work has paid-off as she has been nominated for awards such as So You Think You’re Funny?, BBC New Comedy Awards and Funny Women, among others.
Additionally, she was a presenter of ‘‘Arqiva British Academy Television Awards’’ and ‘‘The Sarah Millican Television Programme’’, and has been a panelist on ‘‘Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled’’, and in 2017, Millican released the book ‘‘How to be Champion’’, which features her one-liners, all adding to her net worth.
When it comes to her private life, Millican was married to Andrew Millican from 1997 until 2004, after he walked out. Since 2013 she has been married Gary Delaney. She is active on social media such as Twitter and Instagram, and is followed by two million people on the former and 105,000 on the latter.
