Scottie Maurice Pippen, known simply as Scottie Pippen, is a famous former American basketball player, as well as an actor. Scottie Pippen is perhaps best known for playing in the position of forward for the Chicago “Bulls” basketball team. Alongside Michael Jordan, Pippen was one of the key players in the team. As a basketball player, Scottie Pippen won numerous awards and accolades, all of which contributed to his popularity. In 1995, he became the NBA steals leader, and a year later, in 1996, he was chosen as the NBA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year. He also became a 6-time NBA champion with the “Bulls”, and took part in seven NBA All-Star games. Aside from the Chicago “Bulls”, Pippen also played for the Houston “Rockets”, Portland “Trail Blazers”, Torpan “Pojat” and Sundsvall “Dragons”. Considered to be one of the greatest teams ever assembled, the “Dream Team” featured such legendary players as Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Karl Malone to name a few. With the “Dream Team”, Scottie Pippen won a Gold medal in both the 1992 and 1996 Olympics. Pippen ended his professional basketball career in 2008 with the “Dragons” team.
