[on Mixed Martial Arts as depicted in Never Back Down (2008)] I actually get a little upset when people say that it's not a sport. It's the evolution of karate, kung fu, ju jitsu, judo, muay-thai - all these sports in their singular form, coming together. Most of these are Olympic sports.

[about his personal style] Comfort. If it's comfortable and it looks decent, I'll wear it. There's no in-between for me. Either I want to be rocking in an Armani suit, or I want to be in jeans and a T-shirt. I wouldn't want to be in khakis and a button-down. That's just not me.

Once I got into modeling, I realized how much I really hated the industry... A lot of people that model tend to think they're God's gift, but I was like 'Great, you can model, but what have you done to accomplish anything in your life?' I wanted a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.

"High school is high school, but it's not until you get out of high school that you realize that it's just a stepping stone in life. Nothing is easy about high school. I didn't know where I fit. There are so many cliques of people who are popular and who are not. You get too caught up trying to figure out where you fit in the whole scheme of things, but really, it truly doesn't matter. All that matters is that you have your friends who are your friends -- period." Interview with Tim Lammers, July 2004.
