Sebastian Georg Vollmer (German pronunciation: [zeˈbastian ˈɡeˑoɐk ˈfɔlmɐ]; born July 10, 1984) is a German-born American football offensive tackle for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Patriots in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football for the University of Houston. He is one of four German players in the NFL (the others are the New York Giants' Markus Kuhn, New Orleans Saints Kasim Edebali and Indianapolis Colts' Björn Werner). He was the first German citizen to ever be selected in a NFL draft.
