Simon Le Bon Net Worth $60 Million
One of three sons born to John Le Bon and Anne-Marrie, from an early age, Simon showed a talent for the performing arts, including acting and singing; he participated in a commercial for Persil washing, and was in a church choir. He went to Pinner County Grammar School, after which he attended the Nower Hill High School. Nurturing his talents, Simon became focused on theater, and band auditioning; he appeared in the “Tom Brown’s School Days”, and auditioned for a band at Harrow College. However, he then joined a kibbutz as a volunteer, and spent a few months in Israel before returning to England, where he enrolled at the University of Birmingham to study drama. Two years later, he joined the band Duran Duran.
The band went through several line-up changes before releasing their debut self-titled album, with the band consisting of musicians Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Roger Taylor and Andy Taylor.
Thealbum became an enormous success, achieving platinum status, which only increased Simon`s net worth by a large margin, and also encouraged all the band members to continue in the same way.
Their next album came out the following year, entitled “Rio”, and it repeated the success of its predecessor by achieving platinum status, and it also reached No. 2 on the UK Albums chart. Soon after, the band`s third album was released, “Seven and the Ragged Tiger”, and it topped the UK charts, and reached No. 8 on the US Billboard 200 chart. The band continued successfully through the 1980s and 1990s, releasing such albums as “Notorious” (1986), “Big Thing” (1988), “Duran Duran (The Wedding Album)” (1993), and “Thank You”, which spawned hits such as “Notorious”, “”All She Wants Is”, “””Ordinary World”, and “Come Undone”, among others, all of which helped the sales of the albums, and in that way increasing Simon`s net worth.
Although the band continued to release new material, their albums since 1995 haven’t garnered the popularity they had before. However, albums such as “Astronaut” (2004), “All You Need Is Now” (2010), and most recent “Paper Gods” (2015), all reached into the top 20 on the UK Albums chart.
Apart from his career with Duran Duran, Simon has collaborated with other artists, including Mark Ronson, Ferry Corsten, and Susanna Hoffs, among others, which has also added to his net worth.
Simon also started SYN Entertainment, through which he has launched SYN Records, and a number of Duran Duran compilations.
Regarding his personal life, Simon has been married to model Yasmin Parvaneh since 1985; the couple has three children. Previously he was engaged to Claire Stansfield, but while with her he started a romantic relationship with Yasmin.

1 | [on Steve Strange] He was the leading edge of New Romantic. |
2 | [on "Do They Know It's Christmas?"] I had Sting standing next to me when I recorded my bit and rather than make me feel nervous and uncomfortable, I took great comfort from that. I was very proud to be on a microphone next to Sting, I really was. |
3 | Sex is by far and away much more interesting than cards or video games. |
4 | Meeting Andy Warhol... cool, great... but it wasn't like someone giving me a Ferrari or anything. |
5 | I've always rather fancied John. We're much more into each other. |
6 | I'd spent my entire teenage years suffering one unrequited love affair after the other. I was so shy I couldn't even talk to girls. If I fancied them, I'd follow them home, but I didn't have the guts to approach them. I was a teenage stalker. The same went for John. The first time I saw him he was this geek with nicotine-stained fingers, trembling with fear at the prospect of having to meet people. And his name wasn't even John. It was Nigel. He was a Nigel with glasses, poor sod. I remember staring at his face and slowly realizing that he was rather beautiful, exquisite in fact. I mean, this was the best looking guy I'd seen in years, maybe my whole life. Losing his glasses and changing his name to John was the best thing he ever did. He was a man transformed. To see him in action was incredible. He could charm the knickers off anyone. |
7 | I have very strange dreams, especially when I'm traveling. I had one recently that someone was sending me messages by spider. A spider would crawl up my right arm, go across my shoulders and down my left arm and then I'd understand the message. The messages came from my right hand - they were really stupid. I don't think it'll catch on. |
8 | I am not a snob - ask anybody. Well, anybody who matters. |
