Sophia Bush was born on 8 July 1982, in Pasadena, California, and is an actress, director and stress spokesperson, probably best known for her role of Brooke Davis in “One Tree Hill” on WB/CW from 2003-12. During Sophia’s career as an actress she has won such awards as Choice Movie Actress-Comedy, Choice Movie Breakout – Female, Rising Star Award and others.
So how rich is Sophia Bush? Authoritative sources estimate that Bush’s net worth is over $9 million as of mid-2016, accumulated during her varied career which now spans over 15 years. As Sophia is still relatively young, she will probably appear in many more shows and films so her wealth is likely to grow.
Sophia Bush Net Worth $6 Million
While Sophia was at school she understood that acting might be her future profession, because she enjoyed being a part of school plays at Westridge School for Girls, from where she matriculated in 2000, following which she enrolled at the University of Southern California to study journalism. However, as with many othe stage-struck stars, she dropped-out to try and become a full-time actress. Sophia’s acting career began in 2001, when she appeared in the movie “Van Wilder”, directed by Walt Becker, working with Ryan Reynolds, Tara Reid, Kal Penn among others, and which brought her to the notice of others in the movie industry. She also appeared in such television shows as “MythBusters”, “Punk’d” and “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch”, all adding to the establishment of Sophia’s net worth. In 2003 Sophia got the role of Brooke Davis, which is probably her most famous role; what is more, being a part of “One Tree Hill” brought Sophia more popularity and critical acclaim, especially as she also directed some of the episodes of the series, which had a significant impact on Bush’s net worth.
Other movies that Sophia acted in include “Leaning Curves”, “Stay Alive”, “Supercross”, “The Hitcher”, and “Table for Three”, during the making of which Sophia had an opportunity to work with such actors as Sean Bean, Zachary Knighton, Brandon Routh, Jesse Bradford, Ed Westwick, Felicity Jones, Kevin Zegers and many others. Plus her net worth was boosted.
Bush’s latest project is “Chicago P.D.” when she takes time from her involvement in TV shows such as “Nip/Tuck”, “Partners”, “Chicago Fire”, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and others, the success of which has gained Sophia acclaim, but also contributed significantly to Sophia’s net worth.
In her personal life, Sophis was married to Chad Michael Murray (2005–06), which is still acrimoniously played-out in public. Bush then dated actor Austin Nichols for four years, and subsequently Dan Fredinburg for a year – he later died climbing Mt Everest.
In addition to her career, Sophia is also a part of several fundraisers: Run For the Gulf, Global Green Gulf Relief and Fuck Cancer to name a few. What is more, she is not afraid to tell her opinion to the public, and is very active in politics, supporting Barack Obama.

1
It devastates me now that I have been reduced to a Hollywood statistic-another joke marriage. I never expected to be married more than once...because I knew what I was getting into and will always believe in love.
2
Because I'm 5'4" and athletically built, if I gain five pounds it looks like a lot.

[on relationships] Whether it lasts forever or ends tomorrow, it will have taught you something if you've paid attention.
4
I've always been the long-term relationship, go-home-and-meet-mom girl.

[on working with ex-husband, Chad Michael Murray]: My job is my job, and my personal life is my personal life, and I keep them separate. It's my job. It's not always easy, but it's my work - it's what I love and take pride in, and I won't let that slack because of personal circumstances.
6
Getting wasted is only okay when you're young enough to not know better.
7
People care about my personal life. But really I'm dorky! I drink beer and go to football games. And ya know, sit in my house in a t-shirt on the weekends and play with my dog!

[In reference to the portrayal of strong women in cinema] I think what's exceptional about that is typically in the sociology of our culture, we're so used to those gender roles of the women being supported and it's wonderful when you see that that's really not how it is. Because sorry to say, women run the house. They run the family. They hold things up. I mean, it's like you don't ever see your mom get sick because she handles everything. And it's kind of amazing I think to show people just how strong women are. And people enjoy it. And I think people want to see women that reflect women in their lives that they know now.

Samaire (Samaire Armstrong) and I spent a lot of time shopping together and just running around town. She's such a great girl. She's an artist and has a really creative mind. I loved it when they sent me the Stay Alive (2006) script. McG called and said "Listen, read this role and tell me what you think." She's so different from anybody I've gotten to play which was what drew me to it. Aside from the fact that the script is great, original and creepy as hell, the character is very, very cool. She's such a badass. She's a rough around the edge girl and fits into this sect that is of New Orleans.
10
I want to play everything. I really want to do it all.
11
I get to experiment with a lot of looks with my character so that's really fun for me. It's like getting to paint a new canvas everyday.
12
I've turned into a total insomniac. Chad will wake up for a 4 a.m. snack, and I will have completely redecorated a room in our house!
13
I love boxing. There's something fierce about using your body's force that way.

(On starring with her husband on One Tree Hill (2003)) People say "Oh, it must be so nice being able to kiss your own husband on the show", but really, it's not. It's so awkward being intimate with your husband with hundreds of people watching and a camera present.
