Aside from reaching #21 on the list of “100 Best Songs of 2007”, “Crank That” earned a Grammy Awards nomination for Best Rap Song. To date, the single has exceeded five million digital downloads, all of which have contributed to the popularity of Soulja Boy’s debut album. “Souljaboytellem.com” came out in 2007, several months after the release of “Crank That (Soulja Boy)”. Despite the popularity of its main single, the album was met with rather negative critical reviews, largely due to banal and monotonous composition. Nevertheless, “Souljaboutellem.com” sold more than 949,000 copies in the United States, and produced three more singles, namely “Donk”, “Yahhh!” and “Soulja Girl”. So far, Soulja Boy has released three studio albums, the most recent being “The DeAndre Way”, which came out in 2010.
