Stacy`s residence officially stayed her hometown, however, someone had bigger plans in store for her; at the age of six, Stacy held the microphone for the first time, and just five years later she sang in front of 30,000 people, as she was an opening act for the legendary Ramsey Lewis, at a concert held at Fort DuPont Park. Before long she was spotted by the president of Cotillion Records, who immediately signed her to the label, and her net worth was established.

Being only a 13 year old, this was all quite new and somewhat stressful for her, but she managed to record her first album entitled “Young and in Love” (1979), and just a year later a second album “Let Me Be Your Angel”, which reached No. 9 on the US R&B chart. The following year she toured across the USA and Europe, visiting countries such as Germany and England, and soon enough visiting other areas of the world, performing in Japan, the Bahamas and several African countries, alongside The Jacksons and other successful artists of that time.
Stacy released five more albums for Cotillion records – “With You” (1981) which is her best charted album as it reached No. 8 on the US R&B chart – “Sneakin` Out” (1982), “Perfect Combination” (1984), and “I`m Not the Same Girl” (1985). Her net worth was rising rapidly.

Afterwards she signed with Motown records, and released three more albums, “Take Me All the Way” (1986), “Personal Attention” (1988), and “What You Need” (1989), before she decided to supposedly retire and dedicate more time to her family. Anyway, Stacy stayed active in music, singing gospel music in church, which she ministers. However, she was not forgotten by producers or fans, and in 2010, a TV One docu-series – “Unsung” – was produced, which chronicled Lattisaw’s music career, and in which she also appeared.

Regarding her personal life, Stacy is married to Kevin Jackson, and the couple has two children together.

Stacyis a well-known activist; she started the Youth Empowerment program, through which she visits schools and talks to children about how important is to be leaders and not just followers.
