Enos Stanley ‘Stan’ Kroenke was born in Columbia, Missouri USA on 29 July 1947, and is an American businessman primarily in real estate, but also the owner of Kroenke Sports enterprises encompassing several prominent sports teams, including being the largest shareholders of English Premier League soccer club Arsenal.

Kroenke studied at the University of Missouri where he obtained his degrees of BA, BS and MBA. Stan established the Kroenke Group in the year 1983, a real estate big company which built many apartment buildings and shopping malls. Later in 1991 he founded a big independent corporation in real estate that specializes in suburban development. Kroenke became more wealthy when his wife and he inherited shares in Walmart after Ann’s father death in 1995. In the same year Stan bought a 40 % share in the National Football League’s St. Louis Rams, under the auspices of Kroenke Sports Enterprises. In the year 2000 Stan became the only owner of the National Basketball Association’s Denver Nuggets, and the National Hockey League’s Colorado Avalanche; these teams have added much to his wealth.
Stan became a part owner of the Arena Football League’s Colorado Crush with Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen in 2002. Aside from sports, Kroenke also had a partnership in the Napa Valley winery Screaming Eagle with Charles Banks from the year 2006 until 2009. On April 2007 Granda Ventures, Arsenal had a technical link with Stan’s Colorado Rapids when he bought 9.9 % stake in Arsenal Holding plc from ITV plc which raised Kroenke’s share to be 12.19 %, so he is considered to be the largest shareholders of Premier League club Arsenal. In the year 2008 it was officially announced that Stan had joined the Arsenal board of directors after the board allowed him to control the club.
