Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, born on 15 July 1946, in Brunei Town (now Bandar Seri Begawan), is the 29th Sultan and Yang Di-Peruan of his country Brunei, and one of the richest people in the world. Sultan Hassanal has been the head of state since 1967.
