The controversies came later, when Joshua and his SCOAN began releasing videos proclaiming that he could cure incurable illnesses including HIV/AIDS. All of this was backed up by people who also claimed that they were cured and healed through Joshua’s “Anointing Water”. Besides “dealing” with possessed spirits during his service, Joshua also claims that he is a prophet who predicted events such as the Boston marathon bombing, Michael Jackson’s death and the 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, among many others. Doubtlessly, all of these proclamations have helped T. B. Joshua to gain more popularity, fame and followers which has certainly impacted the total of his net worth.
