Taylor Dayne Net Worth $4 Million
After graduating from high school in New York, Leslie would go on and start singing professionally with small-time bands. After graduating from college, she would start a solo singing career and release a few dance songs, under the name Les Lee, entitled “I’m the One You Want” and “Tell Me You Love Me”. Her first song to gain popularity would be “Tell it to My Heart” released in 1987, and by the time of that song’s release, she had changed her stage name to Taylor Dane. After that, Dane continued to release hit songs which included “Tell it to My Heart”, “I’ll Always Love You” and “Love Will Lead You Back”, all of which would become gold-selling singles, and “Tell it to My Heart” was a notable song as it strayed away from the ballads that Taylor usually performed. She then started to do more dance tracks, featuring songs like “With Every Beat of My Heart” and “Don’t Rush Me”. By 1990, the song “Love Will Lead You Back” would become number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts. Her albums in the late 1980s would be the peak of her musical career, but she continued to record songs and some of her hits would enter the charts until around 2000.
From this point, Taylor tried her hand at acting, appearing in the television series “Nightman”. She also made a few independent films including “Stag” and “Jesus the Driver”. Around this time she began performing on Broadway, with one of her most notable performances at Elton John’s “Aida” during 2001. She continued to act, perform and make guest appearances until around 2007, when she would release a new album called “Satistfied”. Her first song from the album entitled “Beautiful” would reach number one on the dance charts and the album itself would receive positive reviews from critics. This was a good return for her after a decade of not releasing any new albums. With this newfound success and a sudden boost in her net worth, she continued to make television and music performances. One of her latest releases, in 2014, is a single called “Dreaming”.
Aside from her career, it is known that Taylor has never married, but has twins that were a product of surrogacy. She took a break from music for a while to raise her children. She is also a strong supporter of same-sex marriage and once informed the media on how the LGBT community is her strongest fan base.
