The Chemical Brothers are an electronic duo who originated in Manchester, England, when the Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands decided to make music of their own. Under that name, they managed to release one song entitled “Call To The Siren”, and the EP “Fourteenth Century“ (1994) through the Junior Boy’s Own label, owned by DJ Andrew Weatherall. However, when they started touring, they needed to change their name, because it was already used by producers E.Z Mike and King Gizmo.

They decided on “The Chemical Brothers” and their first full length album was released in 1995, entitled “Exit Planet Dust”. The album was an immediate success on its release, and it received numerous positive reviews from famous music magazines, including the Allmusic and Q.
