Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen was born on 24th October 1981, in Singapore, of Vietnamese (father) and French-Vietnamese (mother) descent, who as Tila Tequila became famous as a model, after her photos appeared in male focused magazines. She is also known as a singer and a songwriter, and has had her own reality show on MTV. Other stage names used by the model are Tila Nguyen and Miss Tila.
So just how rich is Tila Tequila? Sources estimate her net worth is over $1.5 million, mostly made from modelling and television appearances. Tila adds to her income from online businesses: she has her own website, recently transformed into a social network, a dating site, and a celebrity blog site. Tila’s family migrated to the USA when she was only a year old, and she was raised in Houston, Texas. In 2000 she matriculated from Alief Hastings High School, and one year later she moved to California. In 2002 she was enlisted by a “Playboy” scout, and became a Playboy “Cyber Girl of the Week”, and then “Asian Cyber Girl of the Month”. After more pictorials in similar magazines, including “Penthouse”, “Maxim”, and “Stuff”, and appearances on the cover of “Import Tuner” magazine and in the video game “Street Racing Syndicate”, Tila had her first television project on Fuse TV channel. In 2003, she participated in VH1’s reality show “Surviving Nugent”, and in 2007 she started her own television show – “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila” – followed by a second season both aired by MTV. The model has appeared in several other television shows, such as “NY Ink”, “Robot Chicken”, “The Cleveland Show” and “Mad TV”, before in 2015 signing a contract with Channel 5 for the sixteenth season of “Celebrity Big Brother”, but she was fired after less than 24 hours on the show, allegedly because of some controversial statements the model had made back in 2013!

In 2008, Tila Tequila’s book was published. Sales of “Hooking Up With Tila Tequila: A Guide to Love, Fame, Happiness, Success, and Being the Life of the Party”, written together with Sarah Tomlinson, complement the star’s earnings.
In her less-than-private, and rather confusing personal life, in 2009 Tila Tequila told the media she was engaged to Casey Johnson, who died soon after from diabetes. In 2012, she checked into rehab, after apparently trying to commit suicide by overdosing on pills, and supposedly ‘coming out’ as being lesbian. The model now has a daughter, born in 2014 from a relationship with musician Thomas Paxton Whitaker. Controversially, Tila has brought considerable criticism on herself for anti-Semitic comments, and posing in a Nazi uniform in front of a picture of Auschwitz. Her account with Twitter was subsequently suspended.
Tila Tequila lives in an apartment-mansion in Southern California. Media wrote about her driving expensive cars, including a Lamborghini Gallardo and a $100,000 BMW M6 Convertible, but these seem to be rented and not owned by the reality show star.
