2Thomas Edward Bosley was born on the 1st October 1927, in Chicago, Illinois USA, and was an actor, entertainer, television personality and voice artist, probably best known for his role of Howard Cunningham in the cult ABC sitcom “Happy Days” (1974-1984). Bosley also had notable parts in “Murder, She Wrote” (1984-1988) and the NBC/ABC show “Father Dowling Mysteries” (1989-1991). His acting skills and frequent appearances on television significantly increased his net worth. Bosley’s career started in 1955 and ended in 2010 with his passing. Have you ever wondered how rich Tom Bosley was at the time of his death? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Tom’s net worth was as big as $5 million. In addition to acting in television and film, Bosley also appeared in commercials, and had the voice-over roles which added to his wealth.
Tom Bosley Net Worth $5 Million
Tom Bosley was a son of Benjamin and Dora Bosley, and was of Jewish religion although often played Catholic priests in his career. He served in the United States Navy during the WWII, and when the war was over, he went to DePaul University in Chicago, where he made his stage debut in 1947. Bosley had his first role in TV movie in 1955, when he appeared in “Alice in Wonderland”, but his major role came in 1959 in the Broadway musical “Fiorello!” playing the mayor Fiorello H. La Guardia and winning a Tony Award for his performance. Bosley’s first feature film was the comedy-drama “Love with the Proper Stranger” (1963) starring Natalie Wood and Steve McQueen. By the end of the 60’s, he had played roles in “The World of Henry Orient” (1964) with Peter Sellers, Bud Yorkin’s “Divorce American Style” (1967), “The Secret War of Harry Frigg” (1968) with Paul Newman, and “Yours, Mine and Ours” (1968) starring Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda. His first notable role in a series came on “The Debbie Reynolds Show” (1969-1970), in which Bosley appeared in 18 episodes. Tom was cast in numerous TV movies and series during the ’70s, including his voice-over for a lead in “Wait ‘Til Your Father Gets Home” (1972-1974), and in his most memorable role in “Happy Days” (1974-1984), appearing in 255 episodes. In the ’80s, Bosley’s notable performances were in the TV series “Murder, She Wrote” (1984-1988), and s the lead character in “ The Father Dowling Mysteries” (1989-1991). He wasn’t quite as busy in the ’90s, mostly appearing in one or two episodes in numerous series, but he was more frequent in the 2000’s in movies such as “Returning Mickey Stern” (2002), “Mary Christmas” (2002), “Hidden Places” (2006), and “Charlie & Me” (2008). His last film was the comedy “The Back-up Plan” (2010) starring Jennifer Lopez and Alex O’Loughlin. Bosley also did several commercials throughout his career including for Glad Sandwich, Garbage Bags, and Saturn Car Company in the ’70s and ’80s – all his efforts added to his net worth.. Regarding his personal life, Tom Bosley was married to Jean Eliot from 1962 until her death in 1978, and had one child with her. He later married Patricia Carr, and they were together from 1980 to his death in 2010. Bosley died from a staph infection complications in October 2010, in Rancho Mirage, California, aged 83, and was also battling a lung cancer at the time.

Quote
1
So we had life, death, illness, everything - every emotional involvement we had, we experienced. And I think that made what we had to do on stage, stronger. We got very much involved in what we were doing.
2
Many people think that depression is something you just have to live with when you get older, but it's not.
3
I changed my mind because of a scene between Howard Cunningham and Richie. The father-son situation was written so movingly, I fell in love with the project.
4
You have to understand that during the course of our show, we were a family for five hours a day, five days a week, maybe four days a week. And we experienced the same things that we experienced in our own family.
5
My wife says that my tombstone will read, 'Here lies Mr. C, who used to be Mr. B.' So I think that's probably what I'll be remembered for.
6
Being a father to my family and a husband is to me much more important than what I did in the business.
7
Just like other illnesses, depression can be treated so that people can live happy, active lives.
8
Happy Days was about a family... although the show was shot in the 70s, it was about a family in the 50s. I realized that kids were watching their parents grow up and the parents were watching themselves grow up. That was the key to the success of our show.
9
I want to help people with depression understand that there is hope, so that they can get the help they need to live rich, fulfilling lives.
