Thomas Peter Shadyac was born on December 11, 1958, in Falls Church, Virginia, United States. He was raised in a family of Chrisians and Jews, however, his mother Julia Shadyac died from cancer in the 1998, before which she was  wheelchair-bound and cared-for by her son.

Shadyac graduated from the Unversity of Virginia and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 23. Only one year after he started his activity in a show business. Shadyac made his successful debut as the director of “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” in which Jim Carrey, Sean Young and Courteney Cox starred. He has since directed many other movies, such as “Liar Liar” in 1997, “Patch Adams” in 1998, “Dragonfly” in 2002, “Bruce Almighty” in 2003,  and others. However, his career and the beginning of  Shadyac’s increasing net worth started even earlier, in 1984, when Shadyac debuted as an actor in the TV show “Magnum, P. I.”. The interesting thing is that Shadyac started to raise his net worth as an actor, later he became a producer, but only in the year 2015  is he going to be the writer, actor, producer and director of the one movie, “Ernest: The Movie”. However,  Tom Shadyac’s net worth is also thanks to the documentary film “I Am”, released in 2002.

Shadyac’s net worth has also increased thanks to his work as a writer. In 2013 Shadyac published a book entitled “Life’s Operating Manual” which was successful partly because it was released by such a popular personality. Naturally, he became even more famous.

Talking about personal life, Thomas married Jennifer Barker in 1997; she is also an actress, however, the couple divorced almost immediately, and since then Shadyac has lived alone. Today Shadyac continues an active life in the world of show business as producer, writer and director.
