She started her career in commercials, hoping to get more opportunities in film and television, which led her to sign with the modeling agencies Ford and Avenue One. In 2002 she decided that she didn’t want a permanent career in modeling, and went on to fully pursue acting as a career. She still continued to play the violin, collaborating with Raphael Saadiq, Stevie Nicks, and the Tommy Davidson Band. In 2005, she co-starred in the drama “Beautiful People” staying in it for a year before appearing in “I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer”. She was also given guest appearances in “Scrubs” and “Drake & Josh”, and then made her film debut in the short film “Star-crossed”, before co-starring in “Green Flash”. Afterwards, she appeared on the fifth and sixth seasons of “One Tree Hill” as the psycho nanny Carrie, and all of these opportunities would help in building her net worth.

In 2012 she signed to be part of the seventh season of Lifetime’s “Army Wives” as Maggie Hall, but the show was cancelled the following year. One of her latest projects is becoming part of the NBC drama “Chicago Med”, in which she plays the ED pediatrician Dr. Natalie Manning. Her net worth has continued to increase thanks to her consistent work.

|I've always said I would want to be a funeral director if I wasn't an actor.
|There were a lot of kids from Puerto Rico at my high school in Florida; people always assumed I was Puerto Rican. Even now in California, I get talked to on the street in Spanish constantly!
|There's a lot more people out there than you would think who cannot differentiate between TV and reality. I do think there's a lot of people out there who think I'm a nasty human being.
|Before anyone learns my last name, they always assume I have some type of Latin background in me somewhere. I love it! I think the Latin culture is sexy. It's one of my goals to learn to speak Spanish one day; then I will really be able to fool people!
|I do have the most adorable little Chihuahua mix. I adopted him about 3 1/2 years ago from Much Love pet adoption, and he has been the love of my life ever since. |Fernanda Andrade and Daphne Zuniga are two beautiful, inspiring women whom I have met and became very close with, while living in L.A. Daphne's father is from Central America, and Fernanda is originally from Brazil.
|I was worried for a while that it was some sort of reflection of me that all I seemed to be getting were these characters that were a tad bit loony. But I love it. Those are the most fun characters to play!
|I started playing violin when I was six, so I thought I could be a professional. It wasn't until I was 15 when I got into acting classes and realized this was what I wanted to do.
