Patricia Anne Stratigias was born on 18 December 1975, in the town of Richmond Hill in Ontario, Canada, and comes from a Canadian family of Greek and Polish descent. She will be more familiar to most by her former ring name – she is Trish Stratus, a retired WWF/WWE wrestler, fitness model and fitness guru. Though no longer a professional wrestler, Trish Stratus enjoyed a successful career that lasted almost seven years, winning seven WWE Women’s Championships and claiming numerous other titles, such as Diva of the Decade, WWE Hardcore Champion and thrice being named WWE Babe of the Year. Stratus’s net worth has skyrocketed owing to these successes, as well as her later work in television and in the fitness industry
So just how rich is Trish Stratus? Sources estimate that Trish has a net worth of $2.5 million, accumulated since she began work as a model in the late ’90s, and gleaned from several activities since.
Trish Stratus Net Worth $2.5 Million
Even as a child, Stratus had been a fan of wrestling and actively participated in various sports, playing field hockey and soccer during her time in York University. It was during her university years that she would first be noticed – while working as a receptionist at a local gym, Stratus was approached by “MuscleMag International” and offered the chance to do a test shoot. Soon after, she appeared on the cover of the May 1998 issue of the magazine, and a successful career in fitness modelling followed.
Trish Stratus’ net worth would take a real boost two years later, however, when she began her career as a professional wrestler in the World Wrestling Federation (soon renamed World Wrestling Entertainment). She first appeared as a “heel” in 2000, featuring in a fictitious story-line involving an affair between Stratus and Vince McMahon, Chairman of the WWF. This was not enough for Stratus, however – she debuted as a part-time wrestler in 2001, soon moving on to regular appearances and winning her first WWF/WWE Women’s Championship. As her popularity grew, so did her net worth. Over the next five years, Trish Stratus would win the WWE Women’s Championship six more times, to a record-breaking total of seven titles – more than any other WWE wrestler to date. She also gained numerous other honours, including Diva of the Decade, WWE Hardcore Champion and three-time WWE Babe of the Year. Stratus retired from professional wrestling on September 17, 2006.
However, Stratus has also found success as an actress and television personality, hosting her own show called “Stratusphere” on the TV channel “Travel + Escape”, and guest starring in several other productions. Furthermore, since retiring from professional wrestling, Stratus has begun a career in fitness, opening her own yoga studio – the “Stratusphere” – in suburban Toronto, Ontario. The studio was named Top Choice Awards’ Best New Business in 2009, and Trish Stratus herself would receive the Business Woman of the Year award in 2010.
In her personal life, Trish Stratus has been married to childhood sweetheart Ron Fisico since 2006; they have a son and live in the city of Toronto in Ontario, Canada.
Shares the same birthday as fellow WWE Superstar Steve Austin: December 18. Only 11 years apart.
