Troy Kenneth Aikman was born on 21 November 1966, in West Covina, California USA. Troy is a famous former American football player, known for playing for the Dallas Cowboys for 12 seasons. During his career Troy received many awards, including Walter Payton Man of the Year, Davey O’Brien Award, NCAA Silver Anniversary Award, and won three NFC Championships and Super Bowls. In addition to this, Troy has been inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and College Football Hall of Fame. Troy has already ended his career as a professional football player, and he now works as a television sportscaster and is involved in other activities.
So how rich is Troy Aikman? It is estimated by sources that Troy’s net worth is $25 million, his wealth mainly gained during the period when he was a professional football player. Recently he involved in other activities, and they also add to Troy’s net worth. If he continues working successfully, there is a high chance that this sum of money will become higher.
Troy Aikman Net Worth $25 Million
When Troy Aikman initially attended the University of Oklahoma, where he played football for its team. Unfortunately, he experienced a serious ankle injury and was not able to play for some period of time. In 1986 Troy transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles and also continued playing football. He became one of the most successful players in the team, including being rated the top college quarterback in the nation.
Troy began his professional career in 1989, after being the #1 pick by the “Dallas Cowboys” in the NFL draft. Troy played in this team for 12 seasons, and it had a huge impact on the growth of Troy’s net worth. Troy led the team to three Super Bowl victories, and was himself selected for six Pro-Bowls. His winning record for any decade was the highest at that time. Of course, there were ups and downs in his career, but there is no doubt that he is still one of the most experienced and successful American football players. During the last years of his career, Troy experienced several back injuries and even had to have surgery. In 2000 Troy officially announced his retirement from his career as a football player, mainly from the accumulative effects of concussion.
Soon after retiring, Troy started working at the “NFC” as a commentator. In addition to this he worked as radio show host and has even created his own foundation, which helps to build a children’s hospital. What is more, Aikman also works with various companies and it is clear that he is a very active and hardworking man.
To talk about Troy’s personal life, in 2000 he married Rhonda Worthey, and they have two children. Unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce in 2011. It is also said that Troy had relationships with such celebrities as Sandra Bullock, Lorrie Morgan and Janine Turner. All in all, Troy Aikman is considered to be one of the most talented football players of all time. During his career he achieved a lot and is considered to be an inspiration to other people. Although he does not play football anymore, Troy is still respected in the sports world and is involved in various activities. Hopefully, we will hear more about him soon.
