Born Kouassi Ryan Sessegnon on the 18th May 2000, in Roehampton, Surrey England, he is a professional football (soccer) player, who currently plays for the British side Fulham as a left back or left winger. Ryan, one of two twin brothers with part-Beninese ancestry to join Fulham at the age of eight and to spend next eight years rising throug its youth system, before turning professional.
He made his debut on the 9th August 2016 against Leyton Orient in an EFL Cup match. Seven days later he was used for the league match against Leeds United, and his first goal came four days later when his Fulham played against Cardiff City, so becoming the first player in the English leagues born in the 2000s to score, and also the youngest player in the Championship to score a goal. He continued with great plays for Fulham both in league and cup, finishing the season with seven goals in 30 games in total. His play drew considerable interest from the media, and even the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta Dello Sport ranking Sessegnon in the top 30 of Under-20 players in Europe in early 2017, while he was named the 19th-best under-20 player in world football in May 2017’s Sports Illustrated.
