Will Herthie Shields was born on the 15th September 1971, in Fort Riley, Kansas USA, and is a retired professional American Football offensive guard, who spent his entire playing career with the Kansas City Chiefs from, 1993 until 2006.

Will went to Lawton High School, located in the town of Lawton in Oklahoma. While there he played for the high school football team, and after matriculation enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
