Young Buck Wiki Biography

Born David Darnell Brown on March 15, 1981 in Nashville, Tennessee USA, Young Buck is a rapper who became interested in the genre when he was 12 years old – through his really talented childhood friend Clay Cole – but who first came to prominence along with the group called G-Unit & UTP Playas.

So just how rich is Young Buck? Sources estimate that Young Buck  now has a net worth of $300,000, earned from his musical career as well as acting producing records, and currently from owning the record company named Ca$hville Records, however, this was only founded recently when Young Buck’s net worth rose considerably.

Young Buck Net Worth -$300,000

Young Buck was determined to become better at rapping than Clay, so when Clay moved to Florida to seek a career in the music industry, Young Buck also started making his first recordings. Soon after that Young Buck started working with Brian “Baby” Williams, another rapper also known as Baby or Birdman, as well as with his company, so Young Buck’s net worth started growing, as Williams is also a well known businessman and producer, and is half the duo Big Tymers. Williams also founded Cash Money Records, and his net worth is as high as $130 million, a huge difference compared to Young Buck’s net worth.

In 2000, when these two rappers developed different interests, so Young Buck stopped collaborating with Williams and became involved in a business relationship with Juvenile, another rapper. Young Buck joined UTP Records and with Juvenile founded UTP Playas, a new band. In collaboration with UTP Records, Buck managed to release two albums named Born to Be a Thug and The Compilation. However, neither of these sold a huge number of copies, and did not help Young to boost his net worth as much as was hope for..

Fortunately, when Young Buck was working along with UTP Records, he met 50 Cent, another worldwide-known rapper, who encouraged him to join G-Unit. Of course, Young Buck was forced to stop working alongside UTP, however, in 2003 Young Buck released his first album named Beg for Mercy while working with G-Unit, and it achieved great success: in total around 38,000 copies during its first week of release, and more than 500,000 copies in the two weeks following that. Of course, for that the album was certified as double-Platinum, according to Recording Industries Association of America. There were two million copies sold in the US and around another million in the rest of the world. It is known that 50 Cent did not want to share all the sales along with Young.

The most popular singles of this album are considered to be Smile, Stunt 101, Wanna Get to Know You, My Buddy, and Poppin` Them Thangs.

In his personal life, Young Buck’s net worth is low because of tax problems, and in fact he filed for bankruptcy in 2010., yet to be finalised. However, between 2012 to 2013 Young Buck also spent some time in jail for illegal possession of guns.
